Upcoming New Releases – Week Ending Friday, October 7, 2022:

As soon as the calendar was turned to a new month, the temperature, right on schedule, has dropped. I do loves me some chilly mornings and mild afternoons.

Also dropping, right on schedule, are a great number of New Releases from far and wide. No huge names to mention, but lots of great mid-range artists alongside loads of newcomers. I can’t wait to hear new titles from Courtney Marie Andrews, Alvvays, Open Mike Eagle, Daphni, and Sorry, to name just a few.

Sorry – Closer

A couple of Legacy Acts have New Music to play (one song from) on their next tours. Alongside The Cult and Bush, there is also another I hesitate to put in the same category, because I’m quite fond of Paul Heaton. The former frontman for The Housemartins and The Beautiful South continues to make New Music with his wife Jacqui Abbott, and this new one looks interesting.

Too Much For One (Not Enough For Two)

Looking at my BandCamp Wishlist, I have seven releases on tap. Today I’ll highlight Cellist Lori Goldston. I first became aware of her when she played alongside Nirvana on the In Utero Tour. Last year she released a collaboration with Lars Ulrich’s father, Torben, wihich I quite enjoyed. On Friday she releases High and Low.

Don’t forget that this week contains BandCamp Friday, so it’s a good time to support musicians! I’ll talk to you again on Friday. Be good to yourself!
